Boabat Alnoor carried out the comprehensive rehabilitation and refurbishment of Al-Ghadeer Mosque within the Al-Zubair Oil Field, Basra, Iraq, for ENI / ZFOD. The project combined electrical, civil, architectural, HVAC, plumbing, sanitary and interior works to improve the facility's safety, functionality, comfort and overall appearance.
The project involved a coordinated upgrade of the mosque's building infrastructure and internal facilities. Boabat Alnoor's scope included:
The mosque's electrical infrastructure was upgraded through the installation of new electrical distribution panels, electrical cabling and new internal and external lighting systems. The improvements provide the electrical infrastructure required to support the refurbished facility and its building services.
A new air-conditioning and cooling system was installed to improve indoor environmental conditions. The building works also included new roof tiles and fire- and moisture-resistant gypsum board ceilings, together with decorative gypsum board ceiling works to upgrade the mosque's interior finish.
The sanitary and drainage infrastructure was comprehensively rehabilitated and replaced. New plumbing connections and sanitary facilities were installed, together with new ceramic bathroom tiles, fixtures and accessories.
The rehabilitation extended to the mosque's internal environment, including the replacement and installation of new furniture and upgraded finishes. The works were coordinated with the new lighting, cooling, ceiling and sanitary systems to provide a complete refurbishment of the facility.
The completed project improved the mosque's electrical infrastructure, lighting, cooling, roof protection, ceiling finishes, sanitary facilities and interior environment, providing a safer, more comfortable and more functional facility for its users.
