BN Company Experience | Electrical & Instrumentation Projects
To maintain reliable winter operation of critical process valves and field instruments at the Zubair Oil Field degassing stations, BN executed the supply and installation of electrical heat tracing (EHT) systems on selected process lines and instrument connections. During low ambient temperatures, pressurized gas service can cause localized cooling and create operating difficulties for valves and instruments such as level transmitters. The installed EHT system provides controlled heat input to maintain suitable operating temperatures and support continuous, reliable plant operation.
The project improves winter operability of critical equipment by reducing the risk of temperature-related sticking or malfunction of valves and instrumentation. The EHT installation also supports process continuity, equipment protection and safer operation by maintaining controlled temperatures on selected process and instrument lines in hazardous-area service.
BN Company delivered the Electrical Heat Tracing System for Zubair Oil Field degassing stations to improve the winter reliability of critical valves, piping and instrumentation. The project included the supply and installation of Ex-rated heating cables, thermostats, switches, junction boxes and EHT power distribution boards, together with all associated power cables, terminations and galvanized cable trays. Following heat-tracing installation, the treated piping and instrument sections were thermally insulated and protected with external cladding. The completed system helps maintain suitable operating temperatures during low ambient conditions, supporting continuous process operation and reducing the risk of temperature-related equipment malfunction.
