BN executed the electrical and instrumentation scope supporting the gas investment connection between DGS3 and HIPF. The work covered engineering design, material supply, installation, testing, commissioning and start-up activities across both plants, with full integration into the existing control and safety systems.
The project combined field instrumentation, control-system expansion, hazardous-area electrical works and plant-wide signal/power distribution. BN supplied and integrated Emerson DeltaV DCS and ESD cabinets and associated I/O hardware, installed and connected the required field instruments and actuated valves, and configured the new process control and monitoring functions within the existing DCS/ESD architecture.
Detailed electrical and instrumentation engineering, system interface definition, cable routing, termination philosophy and control-system integration for both DGS3 and HIPF.
Supply and installation of Emerson DeltaV DCS and ESD cabinets, including associated controllers, I/O cards, interfaces, marshalling/termination components and auxiliary devices.
Supply, installation and commissioning of pressure transmitters, differential pressure transmitters, flowmeters and associated sensing accessories.
Electrical and instrument connection, loop checking and functional integration of shutdown valves (SDVs), motor-operated valves (MOVs) and flow-control valves (FCVs).
Supply and installation of instrument and control cables, Ex-rated junction boxes, glands, supports, labeling and complete field terminations.
Supply and installation of Ex-rated power distribution boards and associated power cabling for instrument and control equipment.
Supply and installation of stainless-steel instrument tubing, fittings and accessories for impulse and pneumatic connections.
Continuity and insulation tests, calibration, loop checks, cause-and-effect / interlock verification, functional testing, commissioning support and start-up assistance.
BN delivered the project as an integrated package rather than as isolated field installations. Key technical features included:
The completed scope provided a fully integrated instrumentation and control solution supporting gas transfer between DGS3 and HIPF. Through coordinated engineering, field installation and control-system configuration, BN established reliable measurement, valve control, shutdown protection and operator monitoring across the new process interfaces, followed by testing, commissioning and start-up support.
