BN executed the instrumentation scope for the interconnection pipelines between DGS3 and ZME at Zubair Oil Field. The project covered engineering design, material supply, field installation, testing and commissioning of the instrumentation systems required for safe and reliable pipeline operation.
The works included field instruments, shutdown-valve integration, Ex-rated junction boxes, instrument cabling and stainless-steel tubing. BN also connected the new SDVs to the existing Schneider DCS and ESD system, enabling monitoring, shutdown control and integration with the existing plant control architecture.
Engineering & Design
Detailed instrumentation engineering, preparation of field installation requirements, cable and junction-box interfaces, instrument hook-up details and integration requirements for the DGS3-to-ZME interconnection pipeline scope.
Field Instrumentation
Supply, installation, calibration and commissioning of pressure transmitters and differential pressure transmitters, including associated fittings, supports and accessories.
Shutdown Valve Integration
Instrumentation connection and functional integration of shutdown valves (SDVs), including field cabling, termination, air connections, loop checks and interface with the existing control and safety systems.
DCS & ESD Integration
Connection of the new SDV signals and associated instrumentation to the existing Schneider DCS and ESD system for process monitoring, alarms, trips and shutdown functionality.
Ex-rated Junction Boxes
Supply and installation of Ex-rated instrument junction boxes, glands, terminal blocks, supports, labeling and complete field cable terminations suitable for hazardous-area service.
Instrument Cabling
Supply, routing, dressing, identification and termination of instrument and control cables between field devices, Ex junction boxes and existing control-system interfaces.
Stainless-Steel Instrument Tubing
Supply and installation of stainless-steel instrument tubing, fittings and accessories to connect SDV actuators to the pressurized instrument-air system.
Testing & Commissioning
Continuity testing, insulation checks, instrument calibration, loop checking, SDV functional testing, DCS/ESD signal verification and commissioning support.
