BN PROJECT EXPERIENCE | ELECTRICAL & POWER DISTRIBUTION
BN delivered the complete engineering, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the galvanized cable ladder system and associated structural supports serving the DGS-N electrical distribution network. The project also included the laying, routing, termination and connection of 11 kV power cables supplying DGS-N wells.
The new cable support infrastructure was engineered not only for the immediate 11 kV well-supply requirements, but also as a durable common route for future MV and HV power circuits originating from DGS-N toward nearby facilities and Hammar Mushrif wells. This future-ready approach provides the field with a robust, accessible and expandable power-routing backbone.
BN executed the project on a full EPC basis, integrating civil interfaces, structural steelwork, cable management and medium-voltage power installation into one coordinated field solution.
A key feature of the project was BN’s purpose-designed galvanized steel support system. Rather than treating the cable ladder as a temporary or single-service installation, BN engineered the route as permanent field infrastructure with sufficient structural capacity, access and usable ladder space for future expansion.
BN has practical EPC capability for complete cable-management systems in oil and gas facilities, from route development and load assessment through fabrication, installation and final cable pulling. Our teams can deliver customized support arrangements where standard catalogue supports are not suitable for field conditions, plant interfaces or future cable-loading requirements.
The installed ladder network provides the physical backbone for the 11 kV circuits feeding DGS-N wells. BN executed the MV cable installation with controlled routing, segregation, support, dressing and connection practices appropriate for an operating oil-field environment.
By consolidating the well feeders on an engineered above-ground ladder system, the project improves cable accessibility, visual inspection, maintenance and future extension while reducing dependence on repeated excavation for new circuits. The overhead bridge sections preserve internal road access while maintaining a continuous and protected cable route.
The project required close coordination of surveying, foundation interfaces, structural erection, lifting operations, access equipment and cable installation. BN managed the activities in sequence to maintain safe work fronts and accurate alignment across the long cable corridor and road crossings.
The completed installation provides DGS-N with a permanent, high-capacity cable routing system supporting both current 11 kV well electrification and the future development of the surrounding power network. The project demonstrates BN’s ability to combine electrical EPC execution with specialized cable-management engineering, structural fabrication and field installation in complex oil and gas environments.
BN delivers complete cable-management solutions - from engineering and structural fabrication to installation, cable pulling, testing and commissioning - engineered for reliability, maintainability and future expansion.
